OniList may collect the following information:
- Account Information: Your email address and username provided during registration.
- Usage Data: Your anime/manga lists, ratings, XP and level progress, streak data.
- Profile Information: Voluntarily entered display name, bio, and avatar selection.
- Technical Data: IP address, browser type, visit date, and anonymous page navigation data.
ℹ️ We never collect credit card or payment information. OniList is a completely free platform.
2. How We Use Your Data
Collected data is used for the following purposes:
- Creating and managing your account
- Saving and syncing your anime, manga, and webtoon lists
- Running the XP, achievement, and streak systems
- Generating platform statistics and leaderboards (aggregate, anonymized data)
- Improving service quality and security
- Displaying ads (via AdSense — personalized or general)
Your data is never sold to third parties.
3. Cookies
OniList uses the following types of cookies:
- Essential Cookies: Required for session management (Supabase Auth). Without these, you cannot log in.
- Functional Cookies: localStorage is used to remember your theme and language preferences.

- Analytics Cookies: Used for anonymous visit statistics.

- Jikan API — Anime/manga data source (MyAnimeList data). No personal data is transferred.

5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure. Passwords are never stored in plain text; Supabase's secure authentication system is used at all times.
When you delete your account, all of your personal data is permanently removed.
You can export your data at any time as JSON or CSV. Access this option via Settings → Data Management.
6. Your Rights
Under GDPR and applicable data protection laws, you have the following rights:
- Right of Access: You can request to know what data we hold about you.
- Right to Rectification: You can request correction of inaccurate data.
- Right to Erasure: You can delete your account and all associated data (Settings → Account).
- Right to Portability: You can download your data as JSON or CSV.
- Right to Object: You can opt out of personalized advertising.
7. Advertising (Google AdSense)
OniList uses Google AdSense to display ads in order to keep the platform free and sustainable.
Google may use cookies to show interest-based ads. To opt out of personalized advertising:
